About makz web
Created in January 2019, this site currently contains the following projects:
- Blog and Writing
- Occasional updates on my life as well as rants and writeups relating to things I like can be found here. I expect that this section will take the longest to develop, as I'm notoriously bad at journaling and most of my writing is dedicated to schoolwork currently.
- HTML History Lessons
- Part history archive, part practical advice repository, and part portfolio piece — these lessons explore what the web looked like throughout its history, why it looked that way, and what changed over time. Modern web technology is used (where possible) to recreate old web design. Eventually these lessons will converge with modern practices.
- Japanese Translations
- Contains some of my fan translations of various Japanese language songs, as well as study advice for people beginning their Japanese language learning journey. A sample of tutoring materials I made when teaching Japanese to interested friends can also be found here.

Contact
Find me on Twitter @makzTalks! Or don't, if you aren't a fan of Americans complaining about politics and healthcare, which is pretty much my Twitter aesthetic, unfortunately. Either way, if you need to get in touch with me quickly, a Twitter DM is probably your best bet.
If you're a fellow Neocities user, my profile page is here. Follow to get me on your feed, where I'm mostly silent other than site update notifications. I haven't yet implemented the browser modifications to mute "x is following y" notifications, so messages sent to me there may get lost before I see them. Sorry!
